The best pet-friendly swimming spot near Anna Maria Island is Palma Sola Causeway (less than 10 mins away), offering a dog-friendly beach on Manatee Avenue. Other top swimming options include Fort DeSoto State Park (Dog Beach) and Brohard Paw Park in Venice, both within an hour's drive. Dogs are not allowed on the main Anna Maria Island beaches.
