Bridge Street
Historic Bridge Street in Bradenton Beach sits where the original wooden bridge once connected the mainland to the island. Today it's a walkable strip of shops, restaurants, and a fishing pier with views from Gulf to bay. Hop off the free Island Trolley and spend an afternoon here.
Pine Avenue
Pine Avenue runs from the Gulf to the Historic City Pier in Anna Maria. The street is lined with one-of-a-kind boutiques, art galleries, gift shops, and casual restaurants, all built in an Old Florida cottage style.
St. Armands Circle
About 30 minutes south in Sarasota. Over 140 boutiques, galleries, and restaurants arranged around a circular park. Good for a full afternoon: browse the shops, stop for lunch at one of the sidewalk cafes, and stay for the evening if you want to catch the nightlife. The Circle hosts art festivals, car shows, and seasonal events throughout the year.
The Mall at University Town Center
A large indoor mall in Sarasota with over 100 stores. If you're visiting from out of state, ask at the Customer Service desk about their Passport to Shopping program for visitor discounts.
