Mote SEA Aquarium
Opened in late 2025 at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota. The new 146,000-square-foot facility holds one million gallons of water across three floors. Highlights include a 400,000-gallon Gulf Coast habitat, sharks in overhead tanks, sea turtles, manatees, river otters, and Indo-Pacific coral reefs. Working science labs let visitors watch real-time research including red tide tracking and coral reef rehabilitation.
Spring Training Baseball
LECOM Park in Bradenton is the spring training home of the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Bradenton Marauders. The renovated Spanish Mission-style ballpark seats 9,000 and features an outfield boardwalk, a tiki bar, and close-up views of the field in a relaxed, palm-lined setting.
